Mufundi Privacy Policy

Mufundi is operated by Kuteesa Digital Solutions. This Privacy Policy explains how Mufundi collects, uses, stores and protects information when customers and professionals use the Mufundi app.

1. Information We Collect

Mufundi may collect information including:

• Name, email address and phone number.
• Customer and professional account information.
• Professional profile details, profession, experience and service location.
• Professional profile photos, portfolio images and verification documents.
• Service requests, taxi ride requests, pickup and destination information.
• Ratings, reviews and other information submitted by users.
• Taxi vehicle information such as vehicle type, model, registration plate and colour.
• Device push-notification tokens used to support notifications.

The current version of Mufundi does not share users' live precise GPS location with other users. Location information entered by users for services or taxi requests may be stored to provide the requested service.

• Create and manage user accounts.
• Connect customers with professionals and taxi drivers.
• Process service and taxi requests.
• Verify professional accounts and documents.
• Display professional profiles, ratings and reviews.
• Provide safety, fraud-prevention and administrative features.

• Improve the reliability and security of Mufundi.

3. Sharing of Information

Information may be shared with other Mufundi users when necessary to provide a requested service, such as displaying professional contact information or assigned taxi-driver information.

Mufundi also uses third-party infrastructure and technology providers, including Supabase and Firebase, to provide authentication, database, storage and notification functionality.

We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect users, investigate fraud, or maintain platform security.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information. Data transmitted between the app and its online services is sent using encrypted network connections.

Information is retained for as long as necessary to operate Mufundi, provide requested services, maintain security, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.

When an account-deletion request is completed, associated personal data will be deleted unless certain records must be retained for legitimate legal, fraud-prevention, security or dispute-resolution purposes. Such information will only be retained for as long as necessary.

Kuteesa Digital Solutions does not sell Mufundi users' personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
